I Norge drejer det meste sig om at løbe på ski, men der er heldigvis også masser af andre ting at foretage sig i de snedækkede landskaber.

Om vinteren forvandles store dele af Norge til en stor snedækket legeplads for alle, der sætter pris på det aktive friluftsliv hele året rundt.

Det er nok ingen hemmelighed, at nordmændene er særligt vilde med skiløb i alle dens former. Men der er masser af sjove ting man kan lave uden ski, uanset om du er på fjeldet, i byen eller ved kysten.

Tag til Norge i vinterferien og prøv en af disse vinteraktiviteter uden ski.

  1. Kør en hundeslæde

  2. Tag med på en hundeslædetur og kom tæt på de søde slædehunde, der velvilligt trækker dig rundt i den hvide ødemark. Du kan selv styre slæden, enten på korte dagsture eller længerevarende ekspeditioner.

    Ofte vil du også få mulighed for at fodre og på anden måde tage dig af huskierne, noget enhver hundeelsker aldrig vil glemme. Herunder finder du nogle af de mest populære hundeslædeture på TripAdvisor

  3. Kælkning går aldrig af mode

  4. Der er ingen grund til at benægte det: At suse ned af en sneklædt og bumlet kælkebakke er hylende morsomt, uanset hvor mange fødselsdage du har haft. I Norge kan du prøve nogle af deres almindelige kælkebakker (som jo ikke finder deres mage i Dannmark), eller gå all-in og prøve en olympisk kælkebane.

    Fra nord til syd byder de norske kælkebakker op til dans. Udover mulighederne herunder har mange skicentre deres egne kælkebakker, ofte præpareret til perfektion. Hvad venter du på?

  5. Sæt dine egne spor med et par snesko

    De fleste af os har ingen anelse om, hvordan det føles at gå på en sky - men dette er formentligt det tætteste du kan komme. Med et par snesko er det lige meget hvor dyb sneen er, for du cruiser gennem landskabet uden problemer.

    Deltag på en guidet vandretur og oplev den friske vinterluft og det vinterklædte landskab.

    Og glem ikke at tage en pause undervejs. I Norge bør man ikke tage på vandretur uden at medbringe et solidt lager af chokoladebarer, appelsiner og termokander med dine foretrukne varme drikke.

  6. Isfiskeri - få hul igennem

  7. Utallige elve og søer samt den nærmest endeløse kystlinje byder på enestående muligheder for at fange fisk i Norge. Om vinteren dækkes de fleste søer og fjorde af is, men det betyder ikke at du bør glemme fiskestangen derhjemme.

    Bor et hul, stik linen ned i det iskolde vand, og vent på at en interesseret fisk svømmer forbi.

    Husk at være forsigtig. Lyt til de lokales råd, og lad være med at gå ud på isen, hvis du ikke er sikker på om den kan bære.

  8. En tur i kanen

  9. Forestil dig selv i en hestetrukken kane under et lammeskind. Hesten trækker dig gennem en charmerende landsby i et roligt tempo, og det eneste du kan høre er bjældeklang og de rytmiske slag fra hestehovene. Lyder godt, ikke sandt?

    Mange turoperatører tilbyder kaneture, og helt oppe i Nord-Norge kan du blive trukket over Finnmarks hvide vidder af et rensdyr. Det er ikke bare en sjov aktivitet, det er også en sjov måde at opleve hvordan livet var dengang for længe siden, hvor heste og rensdyr var blandt vores mest trofaste tjenere.

  10. På med skøjterne

  11. Norge har lange og stolte skøjtetraditioner der har fostret mange verdensmestre gennem tiderne. Uanset om du er elegant som Sonja Henie, hurtig som Johan Olav Koss, eller virkelig kæmper med at holde balancen, handler skøjteløb om at have det sjovt sammen. Der er udendørs skøjtebaner i de fleste norske byer.

    Om vinteren kan du også skøjte på frosne søer, elve og fjorde - men vær sikker på at isen kan bære før du prøver. Spørg de lokale, kig efter skilte, eller bor et lille hul og tjek tykkelsen selv.

    Skøjter kan lejes på de bemandede skøjtebaner, men hvis du vil løbe på skøjter i den fri natur må du selv sørge for udstyret.

Det lokale vejr og klima

Om vinteren er gennemsnitstemperaturen i Norge -6,8 grader, men forholdene kan variere meget. Oslo og omegn har ofte snevejr, og gennemsnitstemperaturer lige under frysepunktet.

De allerinderste dele af Finnmark og Troms i Nord-Norge samt Trøndelag og Østlandet kan opleve meget kolde vintre med masser af sne. De indre dele af Nord-Norge har arktisk klima om vinteren med metervis af sne, stærk blæst og hård frost.

Kystområderne i Fjord Norge og Sørlandet har et noget mildere klima. Der er dog stadig koldt og sne, hvilket giver gode forhold for skiløb i fjeldene.

Klædt på til den norske vinter

Skal du op i højderne eller langt mod nord – eller begge dele, for den sags skyld – bør du klæde dig varmt på, og i lag. Brug uld frem for bomuld eller polyester, og sørg for at du ikke bliver våd eller fanget i vinden.

Vinden kan få det til at føles koldere end det reelt er. Hvis du er våd er det lettere at få forfrysninger, så det er vigtigt at du er klædt godt på og forberedt på vejrets luner.
