    Lokale madoplevelser fra det prisvindende Norges Kystkøkken

    Norges kulinariske traditioner har meget til fælles med det, man normalt forbinder med landet kyststrækning: frisk, karakteristisk og fuld af variation. Om bord Hurtigruten kan du selv prøve Norges Kystkøkken – frisk mad, der leveres til skibene af de lokale landmænd hver dag.

    Sent i 2016 vandt Hurtigruten den prestigefulde Matmerk-pris for ”Norge på menuen”: ”Ingen andre af vores store turistoperatører har puttet lokal norsk mad på menuen i sådan en grad. At kunne spise sig vej gennem den norske kyst, mens der høres gode historier og det spektakulære sceneri flyder forbi uden for, er noget som alle madelskere vil sætte pris på.”

    Kokkene om bord er kreative og skaber både traditionelle og nye madretter af dagens råvarer. Med dette koncept støtter Hurtigrutens og dens passagerer lokale fiskere, landmænd og andre producenter undervejs, samtidig med at der skabes enestående madoplevelser, der kan deles med familie og venner derhjemme.

    Oplev nordlyset danse eller den evige dag under midnatssolen

    I vintersæsonen fra oktober til marts kan du se nordlyset danse over den arktiske himmel. Du har bestemt en uforglemmelig oplevelse til gode, hvis du endnu ikke har oplevet dette fænomen. Og de, der allerede har set det, vil altid gerne se det igen – draget af den magnetiske og hypnotiserende kombination af grønne og lilla farver.

    Nordlyset opstår når solvinden er stærkere end normalt, og elektrisk ladede partikler fra solen slynges mod Jorden. Partiklerne, elektronerne og protonerne danner et magisk lys, når de ramler sammen med gasserne i Jordens atmosfære. Hvordan du vil se lyset er op til dig. Vi anbefaler en snescootertur med Hurtigruten ind i ødemarkens mørke nat, hvor nordlyset danser som var der ingen tilskuere.
