Northern Lights Adventure at the North Cape

Experience the Northern Lights at the very northern most point of Europe on the plateau of the North Cape itself. You will be going with a convoy through rugged arctic scenery and will be standing next to the globe, a famous landmark, overlooking the endless ocean, looking north, searching for the aurora.

You will be picked up from Scandic Bryggen Hotel Honningsvåg, by an experienced guide. From there we will have a briefing about the expedition and adventure, equipped and prepared for hunting the light. Our guide will also be able to give you tips about how to set your camera so you can take the perfect photo.

On the road over the mountain there are chances to see Northern Lights. We will be travelling through great scenery and making photo stops along the way.

Continuing to the North Cape junction we will meet our snow plough team, that safely will escort us by winding roads through a rugged scenery, ploughing the snow from our path to reach the North Cape.

Upon arrival at the North Cape cliff we leave our vehicles and head on foot out to the outermost point, the globe. The globe is the perfect location to look for the Northern Lights. A professional northern lights guide, giving you insights, myths and facts about the northern lights will accompany you. Opportunities for photography and group photos offered by the guide.

We will continue inside the North Cape building, where there will be warm drinks such as hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

Continuing the exhibitions outside with your guide around the North Cape plateau, searching for more of the Northern Lights with photo opportunities, reaching the monuments the Children of the Earth and continuing to explore the plateau. Movie theatre, gift shop and exhibitions with historical displays inside the building, including the Cave of Lights. Then we will continue the expedition outside and explore the North Cliff and its momuments.
